Education and training

Modern information technology has become a matter of course for the present and new generation of scholars, scientists and students. The Rinascimento virtuale project analysed, explained and presented the technologies used at the occasion of a summer school and several workshops (cf. list of events). These events also provided basic learning opportunities in the areas of palaeography, codicology and history of the book. Students from the undergraduate level to postgraduate in the various fields involved, scholars in a university context and professionals in the library and archive areas were given the opportunity to gain experience with regard to the methodology developed and to the technical solutions reached. Besides, specific sections on the use of technology in some of the regular project conferences (cf. list of events) offered scholars and technicians the option for scientific discussion of the applications and results.
